Words stringed in time
“Apothegm: One of several terms describing short, pithy sayings. Others include adage, gnome, maxim, paroemia, proverb, and sententia.”
We will try not to use the gnomes [cause the pixies will get upset], but you can expect lots of paroemia and sentenia in this blog. Well, probably more on cello’s, violins, basses and viola’s.

The five programmes are available to listen to again for a short time only on the Radio 3 website (click here) - they provide an interesting background to the importance Exeter Young Strings places on the consistent use of Kodaly’s method in developing musicianship skills in children.
A Celebration of Kodaly Sunday, July 12, 2009
On the way home from Bournemouth today, I happened to catch this episode of the Choir on BBC Radio 3.
