Words stringed in time

“Apothegm: One of several terms describing short, pithy sayings. Others include adage, gnome, maxim, paroemia, proverb, and sententia.”
We will try not to use the gnomes [cause the pixies will get upset], but you can expect lots of paroemia and sentenia in this blog.  Well, probably more on cello’s, violins, basses and viola’s.
